Your idea stays in your browser.
Sweeps run on your device. The text you paste is not uploaded.
What happens when you sweep
The page converts your text into an anonymous numerical fingerprint locally and compares it against the paper index, right there in the tab. If you don't arm alerts, nothing is stored anywhere.
If you arm alerts
We store four things: your email, the label you chose, your threshold, and the fingerprint. Not the text. A fingerprint is deliberately lossy — at most it hints at broad topic territory, never your method, framing, or words. Delete it anytime from the manage page.
Check it, if you like
Open your browser's network tab while you sweep: the page only downloads, all from this site. The one upload in the product happens when you press Arm alerts, and you can inspect that request — your email and a block of numbers.
The fine print
Alert emails contain paper titles and your label, and pass through standard email infrastructure — pick a bland label if that matters to you. We don't sell or share anything.
