What happens when you sweep
Your idea is checked privately on your own device — the text you paste is never sent to us or saved anywhere. If you don't arm alerts, nothing about your idea is kept at all.
If you arm alerts
We store four things: your email, the label you chose, your threshold, and the fingerprint. Not the text. A fingerprint is deliberately lossy — at most it hints at broad topic territory, never your method, framing, or words. Delete it anytime from the manage page.
Check it, if you like
Don't take our word for it. Open your browser's network tab while you use Scooped: nothing you typed is ever sent. The only time anything leaves your device is when you press Arm alerts — and even then it's your email and an anonymous fingerprint, never your idea.
The fine print
Alert emails contain paper titles and your label, and pass through standard email infrastructure — pick a bland label if that matters to you. We don't sell or share anything.
